COURSE OUTCOMES

1. To become familiar with the basics of robotics and artificial intelligence.
2. To understand various functions of sensors including drawing and running a
robot and basic blocks programming.
3. To develop basic coding with a pre-built VEX robot.
4. To become familiar with JavaScript.
5. To learn to get the microbit working, program its features, and create the
project.
6. To understand various softwares, hardwares, and its integration.
7. Motivation to solve real-world problems by integrating with various sensors
mounted on the mobile robot(s).

COURSE OUTLINE

1. Complete Foundation (Suitable for: 12-15 Years Old)
2. Each session will be 180 minutes.
3. Each week will have 1 session and the program will have 12 weeks and total
duration will be of altogether 36 hours. (we may increase frequency during the
holidays).

First Module

Basics of Robotics

1. Learn the basics of robotics and artificial intelligence with modern applications of
robotics.

problems.

Sensors

1. Perform various functions using sensors to evaluate the environment to adjust
actions of a robot
2. Explicate various sub-modules of the sensors.
3. Analyze and explore the solution using the sensors for any real-world problems.

 

Third Module

VR: Virtual Robotics [VrVx]

Decisions with color

After completing the module, you will be able to: –
1. Understand virtual robotics platform
2. Develop basic coding for a robot with a pre-built VEX robot.
3. Analyze and explore the solution using the Decision-based system for any real-world
problems.

Fourth Module

Microbit using JavaScript

1. Untangle different sensor concepts such as distance, moisture.
2. Explicate various Microbit concepts.
3. Analyze and apply the optimal requirement and placing of different sensors in realworld problems.

Project 1: New Disk Mover Challenge
Project 2: Coral Reef Cleanup by Virtual Robot
Project 3: Making a Robotic ARM for object picking

Hour 1: Introduction to the Disk mover challenge and requirements of a robot

Hour 3: Testing, doubt session and future scope

Hour 1: Introduction to the Coral Reef challenge and requirements of a robot

Hour 1: Introduction to the Robotic ARM
Hour 2: Application exploration, Different Manipulators (RRR,RRP)
Hour 3: Step by step procedure to make the ARM, its testing and doubt session
